Course summary
Recipients
This course is designed for people interested in deepening the different manifestations of the documentary genre, especially those who wish to carry out a concrete project, since the chronological approach of the course (from the initial idea to the final finish). It will provide the participants with a precise route to carry out their work. The practical explanations will be carried out with a documentary about the promotion of the 40th Annyversary of Atapuerca and the seaching of the species of our relatives.

PROGRAMS DATES
The course consists of 7 practical didactic units, which address the following topics:
Friday 27/10/17. RECEPTION OF THE PARTICIPANTS, Burgos, SPAIN.
Visit the Museo de Evolución Humana, Burgos, at 7,00pm, guided by Juan Luis Arsuaga, scientist at the Centro de Investigación de Evolución y comportamiento Humano (a joint research institute between the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) and the Instituto de Salud Carlos III, Spain).
Saturday, 28/10/17. FROM IDEA TO SCRIPT
When did the first humans arrive? Where did they come from? And what did they look like? This is the amazing story of human life. It begins nearly 430.000 years ago, during the earliest known human occupation, and reveals how humans have periodically lived there ever since. This documentary takes audience on an incredible journey through ours ancient relatives. Drawing on a wealth of evidence from archaeological sites, it reveals which human species lived in there during multiple waves of occupation. It describes who they were, what their habitats were like, which animals shared their landscape, and what they did to survive. Visit to Atapuerca. Trip back to Madrid.

Monday and Tuesday, 6 and 7 November 2017. PLANNING YOUR EDUCATIONAL/SCIENTIFIC/PROMOTIONAL/ VIDEO PROJECT.
Wednesday and Thursday, 8 and 9 November 2017. Trip back to Madrid and POST-PRODUCTION in Madrid.
Remember that the courses are varied and have complements such as support material, glossaries and others.

Minimum execution time: 6 days. Recommended time of completion: 12 days.

Recommended requirements
Previous knowledge is necessary to carry out the activities. It is recommended a minimum capacity to record images with very simple devices, and perform a basic assembly in a simple editing system
